Whiplash is a concept from Marshall Chiles — who founded and ran Laughing Skull Lounge for 16 years and helped build Funny Farm into a top draw. He's spent two decades figuring out what makes a comedy room feel like home. Whiplash is what he learned, with more room to breathe.
Ponce City Market's communal energy is what pulled him in. Two showrooms mean stand-up can headline Main Squeeze while Side Piece runs mixers, socials, magic, and the late-night experiments — all under one roof.
Add a 2,500-square-foot patio, a full bar, a tight food menu, and comedy classes, and you get less of a venue and more of a hangout that happens to be hilarious.
